Many Milestones for Maia!!

Maia's first BIG dance recital was last weekend...she did such a good job!! This little girl was born for the stage. She didn't miss a step during her dance to Uptown Girls. After the finale, all of the other dancers left the stage, except Maia. She stayed on stage to wave to everyone!

Maia graduated from preschool yesterday! We can't believe she is going to be starting kindergarten this fall...such a big girl! Congratulations Space Class 2011!!

For Maia's 5th birthday, Aunt Laura, Uncle Matt and Shannon took Maia to Build-A-Bear and let her choose whatever animal/outfits she liked. She was in heaven. Of course she picked the sparkly kitty cat with eyelashes, chose a Repunzel dress and named the kitty...Repunzel (surprised?)

The week of Maia's birthday was crazy busy for us. Aside from meetings with the builder about our new house, we moved half of our belongings from the old house into storage and the other half of our things to an apartment where we will live until the new house is complete. On Maia's birthday, though, we took time off and spent the entire day shopping, playing and celebrating with friends. She got her ears pierced and a Barbie cake!!

Toy Story 3 on Ice!!

Our lives have been crazy busy lately...We sold our house in less than 2 weeks!! It went MUCH sooner than expected, so we have been scrambling to find a place to rent while construction on our new home is completed. We actually won tickets to see Toy Story 3 on Ice!! It was a nice treat for the kids and really good break for all of us to step away from house issues for a day.

Daddy/Son Mommy/Daughter Day!!!

Bart took Chase to see his first Monster Truck Show this past weekend! They had pit passes and were able to see all the monster trucks up close. Chase had so much fun and was a really good boy....he sat in his seat for 3 hours straight (guess he really liked the show!)

While the boys were busy looking at trucks, the girls had their fun too. Jenn and Maia went to the movies, then went to Crown Center for the afternoon.

There was an "Under the Sea" exhibit at Crown Center that Maia loved.

Chase's Birthday and Winter Fun!

Chase had a blast celebrating his 3rd birthday at Fun Run with family and friends. Grandma and Grandpa Gaddis, Grandma and Grandpa Buck and Uncle Matt drove to Kansas City to join in the fun!! We are so thankful to everyone for making Chase's birthday so special for him.

For Chase's birthday dinner we took him to the T-Rex Cafe. We thought it would be perfect for him since he LOVES dinosaurs...but all he kept saying was, "I want to get out of this place". He felt safe if he held the butterknife (in a 3 year old's mind, I guess he and a butterknife could take on a triceratops). He finally started settling in when they sang him Happy Birthday and gave him a cookie and icecream.

Aunt Laura came to visit us in Kansas City!! We were all so happy to have her here and are looking forward to her coming back!

As pretty and fun as the snow is, it can stop any time. We've been hit with 2 pretty big storms (the last giving us at least 8 inches). Unfortunately, both storms hit at rush hour, and Jenn was caught right in the middle (2.5 hours in the car the first time, and 3.5 hours the second). This is the first year that Chase has really enjoyed the snow.
