Chase is 2 months old!

Chase weighs 12lbs 6oz...I can't believe how fast he's growing!
Chase took his first trip to Springfield last weekend. He was so good in the car, sleeping most of the time. We visited Bart's Aunt Dorothy and his Grandma. Maia had a blast at Great Grandma's with all the toys. Both kiddos were so good all weekend. Great Grandma Gaddis and Chase Tickle bugsFinally, the weather was nice enough to run around outside. Maia busted her lip within the first ten minutes she was outside...I guess we need to stock up on bandaids for the summer.Yes...we put our cat on a leash...SO?

St. Louis

Chase took his first trip to St. Louis last week. He met Great Grandma and Grandpa Buck.Maia spent most of the trip playing with her favorite Uncle.
Maia has a new word just about everyday now. One of Maia's many new words is "PAPA". She loves her grandpa.
Grandma and Grandpa put a "big girl bed" in their room for Maia. She LOVED it!
The kiddos hanging out with Aunt Laura and Uncle Matt.
Maia made a new friend in St. Louis. Halie came over with her parents and grandparents. The two girls played all night long. The next day, Maia looked around the house, calling for her new friend.
Chase met his new buddy, Samson. Chase is about 2 weeks older, but the boys are just about the same size.
The older sisters were very possessive of their new little brothers.
Chase talking to the animals. Last week, he weighed in at 10lbs 2oz. He's growing so fast! He is starting to really hold up his head during "tummy time". He turns his head and smiles when he hears my voice, and "coos" quite a bit. He doesn't have quite as much to say as his big sister, but he'll catch up soon!

Chase Damon Gaddis
January 10, 2008 3:51am 6lb 14oz 20in

Chase is 2 weeks old! The last couple weeks have gone by so fast. Chase is such a good baby! He is starting to wake up for an hour or two at a time, but he loves his sleep! Maia had a rough time when we first brought the new baby home. She had two teeth bust through the day after we came home from the hospital, and she caught a virus from daycare. We had to keep the two kiddos separate for the first week so Maia wouldn't give her coodies to the newborn. Bart was able to take off work for a week and a half, which was such a HUGE help. Maia is feeling much better now, and we've been enjoying time together with the whole family. Maia is such a good big sister! She helps pat the baby's back and get him diapers, and she LOVES to give her brother smooches! Chase has his first doctor's appointment this afternoon. We'll have to see how much weight the little man has gained! We are truely fortunate to have two healthy, happy children.

Maia enjoyed her final Christmas yesterday with Grandma and Grandpa Gaddis. Maia loves her new rocking horse! It sings and moves it's mouth when you push it's ear. Maia thinks that's hilarious!
We're 38 weeks now. The baby's room is ready, our bags are all packed and ready to go to the hospital. All we need now, is a baby! Maia already loves her little brother. She gives him hugs and smooches everyday. We're all anxiously awaiting his arrival!

Merry Christmas!

Christmas came a little early this year! I'm 36 weeks pregnant now, which is a little too far along to travel. So, we had Christmas in Kansas City this year! Grandma and Grandpa Buck, Aunt Laura and Uncle Matt came to town bearing boxes of gifts this past weekend. Maia was in Heaven!
Maia loved putting ornaments on the tree
One of her favorite gifts is a rocking elephant
Maia got twin babies for Christmas, and is already pretending to feed them and give them bottles...she'll be ready for the baby when he gets here! Her dolls came with a highchair, swing, bed, and stroller...it keeps her busy!
Last week, Maia was invited to her first birthday party at Tunnel Town. She has never been so excited! Due to belly size constraints, Bart had the fun of riding all the rides with Maia...I think he enjoyed it as much as the kiddos!
Maia opened one Christmas present a little early...her new snowboots. She wasn't too sure about the snow at first, but really likes it now. However, when she starts getting cold, the fun is over, and she heads straight for the door.

3D/4D SONOGRAM
This past weekend, we had the 3D/4D sonogram of our little baby boy! He was much more cooperative than Maia. She liked to snuggle her face into me, and it was hard to see her facial features, but her little brother is not shy at all. He liked to show off! We're 30 weeks this week...it's hard to believe this little guy will be here in just a couple months. Maia's 3D/4D sonogram was done at about 27 weeks. There's a big difference in the amount of baby chunk this baby has compared to Maia just a few weeks earlier. It's amazing how fast they grow! (Click on the pictures to enlarge)
He opened and closed his eyes quite a bit during the sonogram. You can actually see his iris in this picture! Perfect little foot. I wonder where he gets those long fingers?! Genetics - he can roll his tongue
