Happy Easter!

The weather was beautiful this year on Easter in St. Louis! Continuing the Kohne family tradition, we went to St. Anthony's for Easter Sunday mass. Uncle Larry hosted Easter breakfast at Aunt Linda's as well as an egg hunt. Maia was so excited to finally see her favorite cousins, Allison and Amanda. Then we were off to Uncle Bob and Aunt Kathy's for brunch and another egg hunt. The kiddos made out like bandits, filling 2 freezer bags full of candy and 2 containers full of "easter bunny eggs". We had a LONG ride back to Kansas City Sunday night. There was a lot of traffic until Columbia, then came the tornado watches and warnings. Maia was so scared because of the traumatic experience we had earlier in the week, getting caught out on the trail when some severe weather came through. We made it home safe and sound. It was so good to spend the weekend with our family! Thank you for everything and Happy Easter! The Gaddis FamilyMaia was so excited to where her pretty yellow dress. Really not a whole lot going on around here lately. We're just waiting for spring! We went to see How to Train Your Dragon last weekend. It was Chase's first trip to the "big tv"! The kids loved the movie, and Chase was acually pretty good, though he fell asleep towards the end.

Happy 2nd Birthday, Chase!

It's so hard to believe our little boy is already 2! Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Laura came in town to celebrate. Chase got his first big boy bike and a work bench! We also went to Fun Run to celebrate with Chase's good friends, Jack, Bella and Carson. He had such a good time!

We had a wonderful Christmas this year! (We are so thankful to Jenn's coworkers for working her Christmas holiday and weekend!) Maia received a letter from Santa about a week before Christmas telling her she made it on the "nice list" this year, and to leave out some cookies and milk for him. The kids had so much fun getting ready for Santa and seeing the presents underneath the Christmas trees every morning. (Santa followed us around Missouri again this year!) We couldn't believe the blizzard we missed while celebrating Christmas in St. Louis. When we got back home, Kansas City was covered in snow!! Maia absolutely loves sled riding and playing in the snow...Chase would rather watch from the window. Thank you to all of our family and friends for making this Christmas so wonderful for us and especially for our children! We are truly Blessed!

Fall trip to St. Louis

We had a wonderful extended trip to St. Louis this past weekend! The kids were excited to spend the night at Grandma and Grandpa Buck's. Fortunately, we were able to spend a lot of time visiting family and friends. Maia & Chase had a blast watching Uncle Matt play in his kickball tournament (his team won). Afterwards, we went to the City Garden in St. Louis. Maia & Chase spent an evening with Great Grandma Buck and Sister Mary Agnus. They also reunited with their much missed friends, Ava, Samson, and their new little sister, Stella. The main event for the weekend was Uncle Bill's annual Halloween party. It was a gorgeous day, probably the warmest we've ever been at Bill's party. There were many people, costumes, horses, a pinata, candy, hayride, bonfire, and don't forget the Mulligan Stew!!
