Minivacation to St. Louis

Shaw's Garden
The Rose Garden
Feeding the "big fish" at the Japanese Garden
Maia and Chase loved walking on the stone paths, especially the ones that crossed the creek.Chase has been so into dinosaurs lately that we bought tickets to the Dinoquest in the Climatron. Once we were inside, Chase wasn't so sure he liked the "big dinosaurs" anymore. There were tons of dinosaurs displayed throughout the forest...really neat, just a little scarey for a 2 year old!The Maze
Maia loved playing in the supermarket, making all sorts of creative recipes
Some of the glass left on display
Mom with a death grip on the kids on the bridges in the Japanese Garden
The Magic House
Chase hanging from a pullup bar. He surprisingly can hang for a rediculous amount of time.
Art time...aka mess time
Chase loved haging on the huge spinning wheel
Maia climbing on Jack's beanstalk at the Magic House
Loaded in Grandma and Grandpa's new car, heading out to all you can eat crab and frog legs for Aunt Linda's birthday...yum

Maia's 4 year checkup

Maia is definitely a growing girl! According to the growth chart, Dr. Day said if Maia's growth pattern stays the same, she may reach 5'10"! Guess we'll wait and see... weight 45.8lbs = 95% height 44in = >95%

Happy 4th Birthday, Maia!!

Maia got herself all dolled up for her birthday lunch.
It was a beautiful day for Maia's Birthday Party last weekend! (Much different than her first birthday party where we were all huddled under the pavilion, trying to keep warm in the 30 degree cold!) The kids had a great time in the bouncer and playing with bubbles. Maia LOVED her princess birthday cake!

Happy Easter!

The weather was beautiful this year on Easter in St. Louis! Continuing the Kohne family tradition, we went to St. Anthony's for Easter Sunday mass. Uncle Larry hosted Easter breakfast at Aunt Linda's as well as an egg hunt. Maia was so excited to finally see her favorite cousins, Allison and Amanda. Then we were off to Uncle Bob and Aunt Kathy's for brunch and another egg hunt. The kiddos made out like bandits, filling 2 freezer bags full of candy and 2 containers full of "easter bunny eggs". We had a LONG ride back to Kansas City Sunday night. There was a lot of traffic until Columbia, then came the tornado watches and warnings. Maia was so scared because of the traumatic experience we had earlier in the week, getting caught out on the trail when some severe weather came through. We made it home safe and sound. It was so good to spend the weekend with our family! Thank you for everything and Happy Easter! The Gaddis FamilyMaia was so excited to where her pretty yellow dress. She asked everyday the week before Easter if she could wear it.Found one! Maia and Allison

Really not a whole lot going on around here lately. We're just waiting for spring! We went to see How to Train Your Dragon last weekend. It was Chase's first trip to the "big tv"! The kids loved the movie, and Chase was acually pretty good, though he fell asleep towards the end.
