Merry Christmas!

Christmas came a little early this year! I'm 36 weeks pregnant now, which is a little too far along to travel. So, we had Christmas in Kansas City this year! Grandma and Grandpa Buck, Aunt Laura and Uncle Matt came to town bearing boxes of gifts this past weekend. Maia was in Heaven!
Maia loved putting ornaments on the tree
One of her favorite gifts is a rocking elephant
Maia got twin babies for Christmas, and is already pretending to feed them and give them bottles...she'll be ready for the baby when he gets here! Her dolls came with a highchair, swing, bed, and stroller...it keeps her busy!
Last week, Maia was invited to her first birthday party at Tunnel Town. She has never been so excited! Due to belly size constraints, Bart had the fun of riding all the rides with Maia...I think he enjoyed it as much as the kiddos!
Maia opened one Christmas present a little early...her new snowboots. She wasn't too sure about the snow at first, but really likes it now. However, when she starts getting cold, the fun is over, and she heads straight for the door.

Matt got his first deer at Uncle Larry's last weekend.
Maia was a witch for Halloween this year. Uncle Matt came in town, and brought Maia a Devil pacifier.

3D/4D SONOGRAM
This past weekend, we had the 3D/4D sonogram of our little baby boy! He was much more cooperative than Maia. She liked to snuggle her face into me, and it was hard to see her facial features, but her little brother is not shy at all. He liked to show off! We're 30 weeks this week...it's hard to believe this little guy will be here in just a couple months. Maia's 3D/4D sonogram was done at about 27 weeks. There's a big difference in the amount of baby chunk this baby has compared to Maia just a few weeks earlier. It's amazing how fast they grow! (Click on the pictures to enlarge)
He opened and closed his eyes quite a bit during the sonogram. You can actually see his iris in this picture! Perfect little foot. I wonder where he gets those long fingers?! Genetics - he can roll his tongue

IT'S A BOY!
We had our second sonogram today, and found out Maia will have a little brother in January! He weighs about 2lb 10oz, which puts him in the 45% for his gestational age.

In this picture, you can see the baby's head in the middle, looking directly at us, and his arm above his head. All five fingers are there on the upper right. The sonographer said he's positioned with his head down right now. We have our 3D/4D sonogram scheduled for next weekend. We'll post more pictures then.

Here's the baby bump at 22 weeks. I can't believe we're over half way there already! I think this baby is going to be a star soccer player! I've been feeling a lot of movement lately...it's the best part of pregnancy! We're planning on getting a 3D/4D sonogram around 27 weeks...We can't wait to see the baby's little face!
Maia's baby bumm
Maia has been sleeping in her "big-girl bed" for one week now, and she's finally sleeping through the night! For now, we just have the mattress on the ground so she can get up and down on her own. She's getting too big, too fast!
Maia had fun fingerpainting, but I think her tummy was more colorful than the paper!
Maia had a few friends over to play, but I think she was ready for a nap!
